About Me.
Hi, I’m Jes — photographer, creative, people-watcher, and firm believer that your photos should feel like you, not like you stepped into somebody else’s Pinterest board.
I’m a documentary-style photographer with a love for the in-between moments, the weird little details, the belly laughs, the quiet ones, and all the things that make a person or a season of life feel distinctly theirs.
I’m not interested in forcing you into a pose, a trend, or an editing style that doesn’t fit.
Instead, I want to know you.
Your personality. Your style. Your people. The things you love. The way you actually interact with each other. From there, I create photographs that feel intentional without feeling overly staged.
SO, WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
I don't believe photography should be one-size-fits-all.
Every session gets its own visual language. I might lean cinematic and moody for one person, warm and nostalgic for another, or playful and documentary for a family who spends most of their time running around together.
Your gallery isn't going to look exactly like the last one I photographed — because you aren't the last person I photographed.
I also don't believe you need to know how to pose.
That's my job.
I'll give you direction when you need it, let things unfold naturally when they don't, and create space for the moments that can't be recreated.
WHY CLARITY HAUS?
Because you want photographs that you'll still recognize yourself in years from now.
Not just the perfectly posed smile.
The crooked grin.
The messy hair.
The way your kid reaches for your hand.
The outfit you were obsessed with.
The little details of your home.
The person you were becoming.
The season you almost forgot you were living through.
Those are the things I want to photograph.
My editing isn't one-size-fits-all, either. I edit with the feeling of the session and the personality of the people in it in mind. I want your images to feel cohesive and intentional while still looking like your life.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I've spent more than 15 years working in the beauty industry, so I've always been surrounded by people, creativity, storytelling, and the little details that make someone feel like themselves.
Photography became another way for me to do what I've always loved: create, connect, and make people feel comfortable in front of a camera.
When I'm not photographing people, I'm probably thrifting, working on some questionable DIY project, doom-scrolling for inspiration, or collecting things I absolutely did not need but apparently could not leave behind.
I'm drawn to things with character — vintage pieces, worn-in textures, imperfect spaces, interesting people, and stories that don't feel manufactured.
And honestly?
That's probably why I photograph the way I do.
COME AS YOU ARE.
You don't need to be a model.
You don't need to know what to do with your hands.
You don't need the perfect house, perfect outfit, perfect kids, or perfect life.
You just need to show up as yourself.
I'll take care of the rest.
